Five for the Weekend
A brief weekly round-up of some things that are good.
House socks. I saw these at the MoMA Design Store last weekend; while I didn't buy them, they represent my ideal winter fantasy, i.e. swaddling myself in layers of protective fabric and never leaving the house.
I stopped watching the first Wicked movie at the 45-minute mark and have no plans to see the sequel, but this interview with the films' Oscar-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell is so, so good.
This clip of Carrie Fisher lightly roasting Harrison Ford. It's been nine years since she left us, and I still miss her. (Thanks for the link, Gautam!)
Criterion Channel is doing a Julianne Moore series and I am very here for it.
I don't usually read food memoirs because they hit too close to home, but I'm enjoying Drew Nieporent's I'm Not Trying to Be Difficult, which was co-written by my friend Jamie Feldmar. It's a fast, fun read, especially if, like me, you enjoy stories about the downtown NYC of yesteryear.
